We run our fingers through our hair and over our scalp sometimes when we wake up in the morning. It feels good, right? Perhaps you have a lot of hair, so you notice the weight of it, or perhaps it's cut very short, so it feels a bit pokey. No matter what type of hair, or no hair, long hair or short hair, we know it's hair because it feels like it and "hair" is the label that it's been given. Step back a moment and look around your environment. Is it not true there is a label to identify absolutely everything your eyes see? Not only does it have a label, but we can touch it and immediately know what it may feel like. Whether it's safe or not. Whether we like it, or not... I started researching what this phenomenon was all about. I was curious, scientifically, what the body is, how it takes form, how EVERYTHING takes form, and here is what I learned: I'll start with a visual ... these seem to help with perspective. Allow yourself to imagine if you were to separate just the "matter", the physical part of your make-up, this would allow that "matter" to fit on the head of a pin. In some circles, it's a speck of dust, in other circles, it's the size of a pencil eraser - but I like the pin. Whichever it is, they all are pretty amazing to think about. At the same time, I felt humbled in the realization that perhaps what I've thought "mattered" in my world, is so much smaller than the rest of me. 99.996% of who we believe ourselves to be, is empty space. Yes, 99.996% empty space. Such a deep contemplation before us! This concept right here, has kept me fascinated for many many hours over the years. More perspective - remove the physical matter from the planet, and everything upon it, and it would all fit into the size of a sugar cube. How sweet, right?...pun intended. My attention was then drawn to the empty space, knowing energy is there, and maybe consciousness itself? My exploration of consciousness is ongoing, and I don't have a solid fix on what it is exactly...but I know ENERGY! Energy is a solid fix, and abundant in this Universe. It encapsulates absolutely everything. Nothing is anything, without energy. Energy can be melded, moved, sculpted - we create with it, all kinds of things. For the human experience, I feel it's important we get in touch with this idea. It's empowering to know who we are, really know who we are. What we do know, is we're not the physical matter we believe ourselves to be. BOOM!, we can let that part go and move forward. Frequency comes into play as well. The vibration/s energy travels on, dictates what that energy does, how it gathers. Each time it gathers in a different way, it creates a different frequency; A lower vibration for objects or emotions that carry denser "matter", or a higher one, devoid of matter and/or containing minimal matter. We are surrounded by a multitude of different frequencies. Food is a good example. Raw food, right from it's source carries a higher frequency, or life force, in it than a raw food plucked before it's ripe, put on a vehicle for transport, forced to ripen before it's natural time to do so and then sits on the shelf until someone buys it. Days, even several weeks can go by. Do you feel the life force in those shipments carry the same frequency as something taken right from it's energy source? The answer is "no", they do not. As all life starts coming to the end of it's cycle, it slowly dies away, the life force starts to fade as well. But unlike the physical body, the energetic one, the 99.996% simply becomes a pure frequency again, as energy does not die. This is a good concept to keep in mind when you are needing more energy. Are you eating something that is full of energetic life force ... or did you choose something, like processed food, that has very little to no life force in it? I'm talking about energy transference, but that'll be put in a future blog, as it's an important one. I would simply like to drop a seed today, perhaps spark some interest out there into the real reality of our experience here. As far as my research has brought me, and there's so much more to say on this topic, I'm comfortable knowing that so little of what affects the "me", just doesn't "matter" in the end. At any time, I can pull energy from that unlimited source and change my reality into a higher vibration, if I want. I can give myself food that is full of life force, ensuring that no matter how much longer I enjoy life, I've made it as vibrant as I possible could. I can work with any heavy emotions or thoughts and disperse these to become lighter ... a higher vibration. Is this how one ascends? ... I don't quite know yet. I believe having an understanding of this has enhanced the quality of my arts in many ways. I realize when working with someone on my table, there are different frequencies in different areas of their body. It initially feels physical, until it dissipates, or moves, and then with the persons assistance, the blocked energy can be removed...all free to flow naturally again. I'll leave you with one more perspective, one of my favorites actually. This short 3 minute video depicts a pan out view, starting with a person and ending up in the galaxy. It's interesting to know, that a mere 10 meters above the ground, our physical body can barely be seen. Give it several meters more, and you can't tell any of us are even here any longer. https://youtu.be/8Are9dDbW24 I hope you have fun and become a bit intrigued with the details of this subject "matter". Feel free to leave some comments below. If any of you know what consciousness is, from a scientific stand point, I'd love to hear it.

I came across this image about 1.5 years ago. I'm sure the original poster meant it as a negative slant on organized religion - insinuating how limited in knowledge religion can be. I understood, as it seems more and more people aren't attending any kind of house to worship, deterred by a plethora of reasons and/or seeking new ways to spiritually grow.
For myself, I saw/see something very meaningful when I look at this image. One can not create any kind of belief system, or in this case a religion, without the vast awareness from Spiritual inspiration, depicted in the vast ocean here. Each religion contains itself (the bowl) and gathers the like minded to form a unit in the vast, unknowable ocean of Spiritual knowledge. I want to point out here, the little bowl that contains "religion" is immersed in the vast ocean of Spirituality, is it not?. I also noticed the bowl doesn't have a lid on it, so the waters within the bowl are that of Spirituality. You see where I'm going with this? These two are not divided in any way other than how they are labeled. On the other hand, how is the Spirit to know and witness itself in the vast ocean of what it is, without any kind of container to contemplate itself? Remove the bowl from this image and what do you have? ... that's right, just a vast open space of what? There would be nothing there to let the Spirit know it is even Spirit! It 'must' have a container, a platform, a stage if you will, to be able to break itself down and dig into the complexities of itself. Spirituality can not be identified as such, unless it has a religion to play and explore - or in our case MANY religions. That's the glory of it all! This ocean of Spirituality is not confined to one bowl, oh no no no. Add 100 more bowls, 1000 more bowls and there is room for them all. Each bowl, without a lid, drawing from the same waters as it's neighbor beside it. I think this image is just powerfully wonderful! Just as with anything we experience, some are more pleasurable than others. Some religions make more sense to us than others. If we could stop for a minute and pretend that WE ARE the vast ocean of Spirituality and we start dropping bowls into our waters so that we may know ourselves better, I would bet we wouldn't care to see some things about ourselves, but they are there all the same, feeding and living off the same water that we are. It is written EVERYWHERE in different sacred scripture, describing the power/s of the "waters". Oh yes, and it's a very deep subject indeed, filled with mysticism, prophecy, analogy and mythology. It's spoken of very cryptically in some circles. I've held onto this image, because whenever I look at it, I'm reminded of my own inner ocean of Spirit. I start looking at the containers I have put in my waters and how they make me feel, what I judge, what I focus on. The cool thing is, whenever I come across a facet of myself that I don't care for, I simply tip the bowl over and remove the bowl from my water. Tada! I believe that's called "healing", yes? |
